Well, with any decent editing software (hell, halfway decent) you can EASILY convert any footage to black and white. I have an XL-2, and while I'm sure you could do it, I havent personally checked.

i'd recommend doing it in post too. that way if you don't like how it looks in B&W you can always leave it in color. But if you record it that way, you have no option.
