What are the major differences between shooting on a camera that supports 24p versus one that supports 1080i? Are there major differences in quality, etc?
What are some ways to take 10 people and make it look like there are hundreds on screen? I know they did something like this in the newer Dawn of the Dead, so I was just wonder.
I've been reading a bit about digital intermediates lately. To sum it up, it seems that the DI stays at the post house for color grading only. Is there a way to get a DI and take it to where I am going to edit it and do my compositing and then take the final back to get recorded out to film? And...
If I shoot on color negative and then have the original telecined and then inverse the picture while editing, and then make my edl... is that just as good as having a work print made and have telecine done with the work print?
What is the best way to light an exterior night scene, particularly a large open field? In the woods? Also any lenses that would help also. (Shooting Kodak 500T)
Is there a way that once the telecined image is in the computer to eliminate the frame pull down so that when I create my EDL my original negatives conform correctly and so that the sound that I edit to the picture in the computer synchs up correctly?
I understand how you go from film to digital to edit in the computer... but how do you go from the final cut on the computer back out to film? I don't understand anything about cutting the neg either. Any help is great.
