DV AVI to MPEG2-DVD

I'd like to convert my films to a DVD format, that is from dv avi to mpeg-2. I'm using Premiere Pro that has a built in encoder, but I'm not satisfied with its quality.
Can someone suggest me a good encoder software?

is it only an encoder or can it convert them to the the dvd's .vob files also? Actually, I need a standard DVD disc (to play on DVD players).

check out raxio toast. You should bea able to put your DV file into it, set it up for DVD and it will encode/burn for you.

It's get some pretty good results.

I use Pinnacle Trex for mpeg2 converting and adobe encore for dvd making! they give a quite satisfying result!

You can use yasa video converer to convert avi to dvd/vob. It is reliable and very easy to use.

You can also try Adobe Encore, one of the better authoring programs out there.
