OMG, i was at the beach today filming a little something. I don't go in the water mind you, but the water begins to stream up more to the sand as the sun sets. When all of a sudden water comes up a bit higher to the shore and splashes on me feet and up to the back of the camera.

AAhhh!! camera turned off immediately, would not turn back on. 4 hours later and I'm still here about to cry that it doesn't turn on. Anyone else have something like this happen on any camera? I need to shoot myself now for not being more careful. :(

put it in a dry place and take the battery out. let it dry for 12 hours or so and tryi it. There might be some other drying techniques that are better. I really don't know. am sorry to be the first one to say this but it may not work again. I am not an expert with this cameras but don't think all of the components will not survive moisture. Hopefully you did not get these wet. I had a cell phone that I got wet and dried it for a good while on top of an air cleaner and it came back to life but I have had others that after a dip in the pool never came back. You might take it to an authorized service center or dealer and see if there is something they can do. They might be able to replace parts of it.

Thank Goodness!! I decided to take matters into my own hands and take apart the camera. I saw a little bit of salty water in there dried up. I cleaned it up, and still no dice.

Put everything back together, tried it again, and nothing. Just as I was about to put it back in the case, I tried it one more time and TADA--- it turned on!! phew, Tested it, and everything seems to be working fine again.
