I see you have taken the Harry Potter/Star Wars comparison from http://www.clickok.co.uk/index4.html but there are other useful ones there also; you should link directly to the site. I always refer to it.

In fact, the Harry Potter/Star Wars comparison is a bad one to choose as it imples the structure applies only to this type of fantasy story, when it does not. The Goodfellas / Scarface, Slumdog / Godfather etc comparisons steer away from that impression.
