Which camcorder has "discrete" zoom, instead of "continuous"?

I saw that the zoom of the Canon Vixia HF R600 (and of course, other camcorders too) only advances progressively, but I want a camcorder that can jump directly to some level of zoom, i.e. if the optical zoom is 32x I want the camera to be able to jump directly to 4x, 8x, 16x, etc. (or some user-configured levels) preferable by physical controls, and also the continuous option be available. Can anyone recommend me one such camera? Let's say camcorders not more expensive than 500 $us. Thanks.
