I guess being a newbie I just felt like bringing this forum open.

So post up the specs of your Mac editing machine.

I just switched over from PC's and bought a Power Mac G4.

CPU Speed: 933 MHz
Memory: 768 MB

I have Photoshop CS2 and the other CS2 programs. Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and a few other smaller programs.

I plan on upgrading the CPU and memory before too long and adding another moniter along with some extra harddrive space.

It runs like a champ though and I can hardly complain.

Now it's your turn to share.

Mac G5, dual 1.8 ghz, 2 gigs ram

hi

hi

im in a broadcasting class at my school and we just bought an imac. I love it because we bought final cut pro 5 or somthing like that and it does wonders. another great feature is garage band and sound track pro!

Quad Core G5, 4.5 Gigs RAM, NVIDIA Quadro FS 4500 grahics card, 250 Gig system drive, 500 Gig secondary internal drive, 1TB external FW drive, HVX200, FS-100, etc, etc, etc.

KLackey, I strongly recommend you pump up that RAM to a minimum of 1 Gig, more if you can afford it. Video editing is going to eat it up. And a Mac that old (933Mhz), I don't think you can upgrade the CPU. What model is it?

I just ordered a 24" iMac with an upgraded graphics card (nVidia 7600 256mb) 2mb of RAM, and of course the Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I cant wait for it! Though Apple hasnt shipped it yet :x

iMac G5 1.9 GHz - 17"

ATI Radeon 128MB

After Effects 7.0

Blender 3D 2.43
Icarus
iLife '05
And last but not least, my one game - Indiana Jones & The Emperor's Tomb
