What do you think about creating new sections

What do you think about creating sections for different grades? We could create different levels or do it by age. Maybe we can have a forum for Middle School, High School, University, Graduate, Independant and Pro? Nayoen let me know what you think.

I think its a good idea, and also that people like to view new posts and dont post them selves

But I think I would lump it into three categories... "wana bee's, Learners, Pros"

wana bees could be from no education to highschool. then learners from college/university/trade school, then pros, well people with actual films produced and screened... etc

Maybe also a film studies section would be cool. I'm always looking forard to discussing film as in Aestheticly and Historicly

I would call it something like

Film Aesthetics and Film History Discussion forums.

desc: Post essays and reaserch on any subject pertaining to film studies.

I would only recomend thought that people post papers which have been reviewed academicly... its not fun to read dubious information....

Citations is a must!

I've got a good 10-15 papers which i've written this semester alone.. so I'd be happy to share.

i don't like the conotation of wanna bee's. what would define learners from pros? My interpretation of this site actually was that it recognized everyone as perpetual students- constantly learning in an ever changing industry/art form...

are pro's ppl who make money doing this? or do this for a living? because we all know these are not mutually exclusive groups.

I'd like to see a Showcase & Review section where you can watch work and critique it. I'd to see a technical section like, How'd they do that? or some variation of that idea where we can discuss things in films..

just my opinion.

Sorry Mark, it wasnt supposed to sound bad, just that when I was in highschool and college, I didnt consider my self a real student until I got to university where I knew that this was Exacly what I was studying. Before university, I was basicly just an enthusiast, and not yet a true film student. There's a big difference for me between university and before that. So, again sorry for making it sound bad, you can call the group threads what ever you want, by all means.

Got any sudgestions?

no probs dude! it's true when I look bad at my under grad and under under grad years I actually think that i was a wannabee in the negative sense!
