Vegas & AVCHD

Hi,

Im looking at buying the Sony HDR-SR5E camera, which means i'll need to use Sony Vegas to edit the AVCHD files.
I have never used Vegas before so im wondering does it allow you to key footage from say 'detonation films' into the timeline?

Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

Cheers

I haven't done anything with AVCHD, but if I recall, V7 introduced AVCHD support. In general, the Sony timeline is format agnostic and you can mix any supported media anywhere on the timeline. So if 'detonation films' media is Apple MOV or DV AVI or even a sequence of still images, you can mix them on the timeline all you like.
