Using MARKERS on lcd monitors

Could you help me about the utility of many MARKERS (93 %, 88 % and so on ......) on the Panasonic new series of LCD monitors.
I try to discover the functions but ...... it is a overscan ??
I use it in 4x3 standard

By the way... what is the utility of these many degree Kelvin of the screen ????
Thank you

I guess you pick whatever area you want to compose within or protect around, which is why you can select different Marker settings.

Don't know the answer to the second, but it can be useful to be able to adjust the Kelvin of a monitor to match the surroundings better, especially if you are going to film the image off of the monitor, but even in order to make color-correction decisions.
