Update audio in nested sequences?

If I have a nested sequence (let's call it Sequence "Scene 1") inside of another sequence (let's call it "Master Edit") I can't seem to get the audio to update in the "Master Edit" if I make changes to "Scene 1". If I change the video in "Scene 1" then that will update in the "Master Edit", but if I make changes to the audio it doesn't want to make those updates in the "Master Edit".

What can I do to get Final Cut to update the audio in those nested sequences?

Thanks,

Are you getting render lines? Try doing the Mixdown Audio thing. What version of FCP are you on?

Yes, red render lines. It's version 5.1, but I don't think the audio mixdown will make a difference because I think the problem is due to the different resolutions of the HD and DV clips.

There are two render lines in the Timeline window. The top line is for video, the bottom for audio. I meant, were there audio render lines.

I know it might be a bit too late...

Is the audio different from each sequence or footage (i.e. 48.000 Khz or 44.000 Khz). Try to make it the same.

Also I have had the same problem with video sometimes, when doing a mix so I just hide the layer with the option on the left of the timeline. Which gives you a warning about having to render it again... not sure if it works the same with audio?
