Awards Announces Technical Achievement Award Recipient and
Camera Operator of the Year Nominees


Los Angeles, CA (January 5, 2016) — The Society of Camera Operators (SOC) today announces recipients of its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award for Technical Achievement in addition to the Camera Operator of the Year for Film and Television nominees.

The Society of Camera Operators 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award for Technical Achievement is awarded to Cartoni for the Lambda head.

“This technology is in use on the majority of productions. The Lambda engineering is superb supporting the Camera Operator with ease of use, quality of design and producing superior on screen results, “Eric Fletcher, SOC board member and Chairman of the Technology Committee.

Cartoni will be presented their Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday February 6th, 2016 at Paramount Studios, joining the industry in celebrating the best of the best in production and camera operating.

The SOC’s blue ribbon panel of judges announced the nominees for the prestige Camera Operator of the Year award, as follows:
