Do you think we should delete the showcase reviews that have no substance and, or, are mean spirited?

Probably... I'd imagine the reviews are meant to be for constructive comments (even if it's 'you need better lighting, acting, directing, editing and camerawork next time '), rather than to just say 'this movie sucks, get a job in Wal-Mart'.

I'd say yes, you should delete non-constructive posts, but you'll need a moderator whose job it is to do so, and you'll need a set criteria for posting reviews. Otherwise you'll have a whole can of worms you don't want to open.
