Shotgun Mic not working

Hi, just rented a shotgun mic. Propack is attached to camera. Mic Attachment option is turned on. Shotgun mic is turned on with fresh batteries. Propack is set to 'mic' with volume turned up. Am I missing anything? Oh and this for a GL1.

I used a GL1 for years and as far as I know there is now "attachment option." There is an attenuator option that reduces the audio level when on. Try truning it off and see if you get audio. JimT
