hi..i'm planning to shoot my short film in B&W using a Nikon D90 on broad day light...so is it better to shoot it in color and then convert it to B&W during editing or directly shoot it in B&W.. .?

I'm not sure if this advice is coming too late, but in my opinion, if you're going to shoot digital, it's better to start with more and end with less than to decide you want color later and not have it.

You have more control over color contrast if you shoot color and turn it into b&w later, because it's like using color contrast filters with real b&w film, you can isolate the blue or red channel, etc. and darken it independently, etc. If you record b&w in the first place, you only have basic overall luminance and gamma corrections possible, plus windowing.
