shift and tilt lenses

For my next shooting the director asked for a kit of shift and tilt lenses.
I´ve never used this system even if I have a little idea of how they work.
We´ll shoot on super 16 with 35mm shift and tilt kit and I´m not sure about how the aperature will affect the depth of field in this case, those lenses are slower than other prime lenses (the 24mm that we´ll use opens at f4 wich is not really optimal for the super16 format if we want a shallow depth of field)

I've only used the simple slant-focus lenses for 35mm, usually the 45mm (and the 90mm anamorphic version.) Yes, they are a little slow.

I haven't used the bellows-type swing & shift lenses. You should talk to someone over at Clairmont Cameras maybe.

Re: shift and tilt lenses

Hi,

A friend of mine shot this commercial using the shift and tilt lenses.

The lighting budget seemed to go up a bit with the slow lenses. This was shot on 35.
