I switched over to a Sony mirrorless about six years ago (a6300), but the rest of the family still sometimes used the Canon (my wife because she likes to stick with what she knows, and one of my kids also was trying to start a YouTube channel for a while). There are a few things the Canon and those lenses did better, but the compact size and faster autofocus were worth the tradeoff for me. Granted, now I have an iPhone 13, and for day-to-day use that's just as good.

And some of it, I just realize I've accumulated more than I need.
