Is anyone a grad or current student from the Film Production & Screenwriting program in Ryerson or York University? I need some information on their teaching style, the peers, and the general quality (campus, equipment, etc), and also if any professor recommended.
Most of the comments I have gotten so far is that York seems to be a bit outdated on their equipment and the class seems to have an apathetic atmosphere due to the lack of enthusiasm from the professors (although that can vary, depending on who the professor is). As for Ryerson, all I have heard is that they are good, but of what level?
I only started considering York recently because their application and requirement is much less and seems more reasonable. I think the main part of the application relies on the interview, where you'll have a chance to present your works in any medium. Ryerson, on the other hand, accepts ONLY stills (design, drawing, photograph) and has also taken out the interview, which I find it very unjust.
So, suggestions please. : )
