Religious Filmmaker

Jetlai, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor.

My #1 piece of advice would be to learn dramatic structure. One you understand the theory behind what makes a movie attractive to an audience from a story structure point of view, it makes everything else easier.

I would like to invite you to listen to the latest episode of the Filmmaker One podcast - the podcast for first-time filmmakers. We just posted a new episode on dramatic structure. We discuss it's importance, and included some tips, and books, that will help in learning this important piece of the filmmaking puzzle.

You can find the show at the website below, or on iTunes. I hope you find the information useful.

The human mind is the most creative machine on earth. By putting it on film to share with others is an amazing thing, because you are creating your own world and giving it reality. No film school no matter how expensive will teach you this, they will lay down the carpet and you will furnash it with your experience
