Michael Negrin ASC​

Immersed in the filmmaking world from an early age, Michael Negrin ASC’s journey was shaped by his legendary father, Sol Negrin, ASC — a multi-Emmy nominated and award-winning cinematographer and producer, known for his work on “Superman” (1978), “Kojak” (1973), and “Baker’s Dozen” (1982).

As an award-winning director of photography, Michael’s passion for cinematography blossomed in his formative years. Even during his school days, he seamlessly integrated film into written assignments. Guided by his father as a mentor, Michael embarked on his cinematography journey at the age of 9.

Michael’s career highlights over 77 film and television credits, encompassing a variety of episodic television series, films, and documentaries. His body of work includes “Reasonable Doubt,” “Bigger,” “The Affair,” “Being Mary Jane,” “Rosewood,” “Hello Ladies,” “Paloma,” “Lauren,” and “Second Generation Wayans.” He has also contributed to notable projects such as “The Vampire Diaries,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Life,” “Saving Grace,” “Charmed,” “Gilmore Girls,” “The Nightmare Room,” and “Diagnosis Murder.” Michael’s versatility extends to music videos and documentaries, collaborating with artists like Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Cyndi Lauper, P.M. Dawn, Sting, and 38 Special.
