Reel

I need to put together a DP reel, and I'm not sure what I should include on it. Since I obviously can't expect to start out on a set as a DP, should I include other shots where I wasn't the DP, but was a camera operator, or a dolly grip, or something like that? Or should I make a separate "operator" reel?

A DP reel should be shots that you photographed, not any shots that other people were the DP on. That would be misleading. If you haven't shot enough material for your reel, you could consider shooting material for the reel, like a stylish short film.
