Record straight to DVD

Hello and thanks for your time,
Does anyone know of a standalone deck that accepts inputs (both audio and video) and records straight to a DVD?? I want to record live events (both video and audio) and do it in real time. I know this is possible in a number of audio formats, but how about video?? Thanks for any and all comments!

Are you referring to a setup where you input your camera and audio line into the deck and then record whatever you are shooting onto DVD?

If so, then you can get a DVD recorder and set it up exactly this way. I've tried it before and it works.
