question about vegas 6.0 and mpeg-2

well i wonder if i can edit mpeg-2 formatted videos(ones recorded with dvd camcorders) with sony vegas 6.0?
and if i cant with which software i can do this

I will reply to this soon with accurate information. I generally edit with .avi or .mov file extensions, so this is something I want to look up to be sure to give you the correct information.

Vegas 5-6 both allow you to edit Mpeg2 on the timline, I've mixed Mpeg2, .avi and .bmp's on the same project without a problem. To keep artifacts to a minimum render out as an Mpeg2 rather than a NTSC DV .avi
