Does any one know if Adobe Premiere Pro has any option to allow you to get rid of, or atleast minimize backround/hissing noises?

Ive recorded some dialogue and it sounds great, although the hissing or static noise in the backround is notisable when I raise the volume. Any one have any good suggestions on how to get rid of it in post-production using Premiere or another program?

I would appreaciate any help.

Thanks.

Backround Hiss

Backround Hiss

Backround hiss is the big enemy of many a location recording. The problem with using only EQ on hiss is it usually effects your Voices as well.

What you need is a software that focuses on the hiss while doing it's darndest to keep your vocals untouched. Waves has some wonderful noise cleaning programs that can be used in a number of audio software packages.

For those doing it all yourself and not in the audio business Bias has some stand alone audio cleaning programs. Sound Soap has gotten some very nice reviews in the Audio magazine trades.
