Photography Books?

Does anyone have any great photography books they can recommend? Something along the lines of lighting techniques and just a reference I can use.

BTW, shooting stills is my way of practicing cinematography (the cheap way). Also, should I just keep practicing with my 1982 canon camera, or upgrade to a digital prosumer camera?
