Obtaining rights to popular music

Hey, Im trying to find a way to get rights to some fairly popular music for a film. I know your thinking find different music, but these specific songs are very important. The record company is Zumba now but i cant find a way in.

Try working through the management of one of their artists or ASCAP/BMI/SESAC; you'll eventually be dealing with them all anyway.

If this is a union play, you need to contact BMI and ASCAP and all the other owners of the rights - it is expensive, time consuming and a drag

most smaller theaters just cross their fingers and jump.
