Hi. I've been writing a script for a documentary on the removal of the Seminoles to Oklahoma, 1836-1859, called "The Struggle for Sovereignty". To keep with authenticity, I plan to use sub-titles. Aside from the plot, I want to show how everday life was and the important events and places that the Seminoles were part of, like the California Trail that was used during the gold rush of 1849 and Ft. Gibson- the Ellis Island for Southeastern Indians. I also want to introduce people like Nathaniel Boone (Daniel's son) and other key people in Indian Territory who we were in direct contact with.

I believe this would be pertinent to those with an interest in Native studies and history- especially since we are overlooked in history books and later as Code Talkers in WWII, etc.

The thing is, I'm afraid it would be a lengthy film. But at the same time, I think there would still be an audience for it. Although it may be limited to historians and Indian people, but, at least the story will be out there.

This will be my 1st film and I have a ton of questions.
