Hi Everybody.
I am a UK filmmaker and the founder of the new ‘MiShorts’ online distribution service for shorts films. Based in Britain, this is paid-for VoD service funded by my country’s largest screen agency, Screen South, to provide a much-needed platform for indie filmmakers around the world to promote themselves and their work - and earn money every time their films are purchased.
We launched the service last month and already our online library has over 400 quality films from established and emerging UK/US and international filmmakers and new titles are added daily. Most are available as paid-for downloads in seven formats, including NTSC DVD for the US market, and there is also a good choice of free downloads and high-quality streams.
Submitting films to MiShorts couldn’t be easier, as our easy-to-use ‘MiEncode’ application accepts all standard formats, including MPEG2. When your film is added to our library, you get a special filmmaker MiProfile area to create a profile for the Filmmaker Directory, upload a photo or avatar, write a personal blog and even access real-time data on your film’s downloads and commission earnings. And it doesn't stop there!
