We are about to start production of a Music Video called "Auditions" for our local band. I was appointed DP of our group from my previous experience of my lighting and camera operation.
What I am aming for is a cinematic look. Our group wants it 4:3, but I am after that cinematic look. I have never done anything like this at all. The cameras we are using is going to be both mini DV and BetaCAM. Our studio shots are going to be beta and the rest are going to be miniDV. I am not shure what types of camera they are, but at the end, the whole video will be miniDV, and possibly DVCAM.
I will keep a journal posted online somewhere. The journal will contain most of Pre-Production, all of the Production, and most of Post. Once we are finished with our project, I will post the final video here.
