Most Romantic Comedies ARE Coming of Age stories (maturation is implicit).

I've written a screenplay and it's a Romantic Comedy. Except the lovers are two guys, so it's abit Brokebacky. Also, it takes place in the future and they have to battle aliens with rayguns before they begin to like each other, kiss and get married. Then there's a bit where a time machine takes them back to 1698, into the American West. And then they go forward again documentary style and we encounter many of the political and seminal characters of the ages (Nixon, Kissinger etc) so it's abit Bill and Ted but not really. And also one of the leads is a Colombian drug dealer who wants to make it big in America via Miami. So there's abit of Scarface there but not really.
And there are some kids in there for the summer season.
