I'm working on a composition and need to write down the violin part for a violinist. To save time I bought the Finale PRINT MUSIC software. I set it up and followed the instructions and played out the base to start. It was not even close to accurate in note durations and count. If you hold a note down it writes a quarter note and then starts writing rests for the duration of the tone. It seems that this software is really meant for someone willing to do a lot of manual edits. Also, you have to play one hand/one part at a time. You can't just play and the software notates. There must be a better software.
