Hello all! I just found this site today and thought I would throw a question out to all of you.
I'm editing my first feature using FCP 5.0 and Soundtrack Pro.
My audio level is way too low when I burn to DVD and test it. I have to turn the volume up so loud that I not only get the hum and buzz of my admittidly bad audio, but static form the speakers as well. So far I've level and keyframed the audio to peak at a max of -18 but the median for audio is most likely around -24. I'm assuming that I need to Master Level the whole project up a knotch to get a louder overall level...... right?
Does anyone know the industry standard level for DVD and/or theater?
Thanks,
Adam
