Now, I know what some of you may be thinking. JVC is the ambassador of mediocrity and half-assed innovation. Well, this new HDVCAM they intend to display at NAB is an entirely different beast all together. It employs 3 CMOS chips, shoots in the jolly sweet frame rate of 24P, and has interchangeable HD lenses. These were the premium specifications that people expected to see for the new Canon HDVCAM, but without the premium price. It should be interesting to see how Canon and Panasonic respond.
