I don't think she knows what she is talking about. From what i have seen most of the time actors are word for word on the script. in fact i remember on house the script manger correcting something like and or and but things to keep it right on.

She probably does offend - but she's a ready-to-go ditzy heroine if you know how to position her. So in that sense, she's a gift to screenwriters. I'm not a fan of hers, but I can see some funny / almost tragic story there.

What really offends screenwriters is that "Screenwriter Needed for Celebrity Action Film" post where they won't even pay the writer until oh, maybe never. If you get involved in that, you're going to learn to hate this business really quickly.
