everyone knows Ennio Morricone, almost everyone Nino Rota and Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, do you know Stelvio Cipriani?
Praised by Quentin Tarantino, he worked with directors such as James Cameron, Dino Risi and Akira Kurosawa.

We are glad to announce that a competition for film music composers has been created in the name of Stelvio Cipriani, with the support of Cipriani family. We think that this can be a good opportunity for an emerging composer and we would like to share the news on this forum.

Hi !

We are now in the Eliminatory phase, the jury is evaluating the videos and shall give us the results within February the 28th.
Then the Semifinal will begin: the selected composers will have to create the music for one of the videos of this list:
https://www.ciprianicompetition.com/videos/

From the Semifinalists a shortlist of Finalists will be chosen, they will have to create and synchronize the music for the second list of videos at the same link.

All the finalists will receive a grant to attend the award ceremony in Rome (whose exact date is yet to be announced, unfortunately, but shall be in the month of May) and the winner will receive the Stelvio Cipriani Prize Gold Medal.
