How do I edit on 2 pcs with premiere?

Hi all,
We just finished a 30 min short film (140 GIGs of data) The Director wants to cut together the film but he wants nothing to do with color correcting, etc.. This means the film will be in NYC where he lives and then Color corrected, etc.. in Albany where I live. I tried to use Premiere's "Project Manager" and tested it on 2 pcs. I had all sorts of problems. It still asked to LOCATE the missing footage. (what a pain)
Question: What is the best way to send projects back and forth between 2 pcs that are NOT on a NETWORK?

Thanks,
Lou

Sounds like your pC has the file directory data, but not the file itself. You are either going to have to get the final movie files downloaded to your PC, or saved to an external hard-drive that you both can work on. If you were networked, you could work off the same data system. This does not sound like the case, so you will need the hard files in order to work with them.

We regularly do this at my shop with large external hard drives. We have a few 1.5 GB disc arrays that are FireWire 800. We keep all the work files, vid clips, photoshop files for any one project on a single external disc and pass it around the office as needed. We have a network, but we often find this process more efficient.
