Hi Kim and all

Nice to see the forum's retro spring clean.

I'm still working away; got a new animation project underway.

I recently attended a series of great Animation Workshops run by Northern Ireland Screen: fascinating stuff. There's so much I recognise I don't know but I hope I never lose the thirst to learn.

You can still check out the experimental animation ACEDIA here:https://vimeo.com/channels/acedia

Plenty of graphics here: http://moonbat.cgsociety.org

Lastly here's an image from my new, previously mentioned, project and a shot of the eclipse I took last week from my back garden.

Feedback welcome and best of luck, all.

Mark

Hi Kim

Where has the time gone? I remember seeing the ad for the site in American Cinematographer magazine like it was a day ago!

In terms of my animation work I guess it breaks down something like this:

3D Modelling & Animation takes place in Cheetah 3D. A Mac only app it represents great value.
2D Animation takes place in Anime Studio Pro.
Additional 2D Graphics and General Image Editing takes place in Pixelmator or Photoshop Elements. (I might use a more specialised app like Dramatic Black & White for a special look like the stills in ACEDIA).
Compositing and Effects are conducted in Apple Motion.
Rough Editing in Easy Movie and Fine Editing in Final Cut Express.

Best
Mark
