I recently took a class that dabbled in making videos. I am very interested in the editing part and have seen places like istockvideo.com offer high def videos for purchase. My question is, is it possible to use this video to create a commercial for my company? Are there any specific requirements for broadcast? I did get in touch with Comcast, who we use to advertise with, and they said that there needs to be at least 10 seconds of SMPTE bars before the video. My understanding is that this needs to be added from the camera used. How would I do that if I'm purchasing the video and piecing it together into "scenes?"
