Looking for a HD camcorder to shoot 1080p for a few documentaries, we will be interviewing in a seated position setting with one to two subjects at the same time in one room, this is for historical video documentation before these individuals pass away to preserve the history, would like something for a reasonable price but am not limited on what I can spend.

hi Cary, i would get one of the canon cameras. the quality of the image and the choices of lenses you can use and with all the new accessories coming out for them i would say this is the new independent filmmakers camera and will serve you well in making documentaries.
