This has some interesting features:
-Pre-record cache (3 sec.). Helps you not miss something that you're watching and waiting for.
-Time lapse.
-High data rate (28Mbps) 60p, full hi-def.
-Still burst mode 60fps (for 3 sec.).
-Leica lens.
-3MOS.
-External mic w/ manual-gain.
-Touchscreen.
-Manual-focus ring.
-EVF.
-IR remote.

There's a 24P/1080 mode that is NTSC or PAL "area". I think that means that its 24P mode is 4x3 format. Not sure about that one. Verify that it has all the exact video formats you want, because the TM900 is limited and a little quirky in this respect.

All-in-all, I think it's a really well thought-out, high end prosumer camcorder.
Might be just the thing for documentary shooting. Ii's also small for gun-and-run.

I've had several Panasonic Leica-lensed cameras and I've liked them.

I don't have this one yet but I may have before year-end.
