FS-100 Firestore

Have a potentially serious problem with a Focus FS-100 firestore on which an interview was shot last week on High Def. Totally my mistake for being talked into using high def without much knowledge of the subject - but I do need the footage. When I turn on the FS-100 it won't go past the Welcome page and says "Please Wait" at the bottom eternally. Won't shut off by standard way and doesn't seem to be recognized when plugged into my 20" iMac with the 6X6 pin firewire. Please help without judging. Thanks, Jackie

First, pull out the batter, and put it back in. Then plug in the charger, let it set for a minimum of 3-4 hours. If it's not back to normal by then, contact Focus tech support ASAP. They're nice folks. Also, check out (shamless plug) my FS-100 DVD (bbalser.com). It's about to come down in price, too! Yeah!
