i am a big fan of those horror movies that feature deformed cannibals (think, the hills have eyes and wrong turn). ive been wanting to write my own for a while. i threw around two ideas in my head. one is the typical backwoods tale where a group of people are out on a road trip and get stalked. the other (the one i am giving more thought to) focuses on a reopening of chernobyl where unbeknownst to a group of people there are survivors living in the plant. i am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to start. i think i have a bit of story development but no characters. what types of protaganist types could i use? scientists would be a good start i think. what about surveyors? i also was thinking about maybe some soldiers to attempt to protect everyone else. of course i cant use a big group but any ideas? also i was curious of the two ideas i posted in the third sentence, which is more appealing? and finally any ideas on some grusome kill scenes? thanks!

Think of the ending frist

Think of the ending frist

Hi. I have a suggestions. Before trying to develop the story from the beginning to end, think of how you want the story to end. picture in your mind what the climax and conclusion will be. Once you've done that the beginning and middle will come to you. I use this approach in my own writing. J.K. Rowling did this when she wrote her Harry Potter books, and the writer of Gone With The Wind came up with the ending first too. I think that coming up with the end of the story helps the mind think of ways for the characters to come to that point. I hope this advice will help.
