Hey guys, I'm new here. I am very grateful for you support on this issue. I plan to make several, or rather several dozen music videos, for my music. My budget at the moment only 6 000 £ (GBP). I just need to buy 1 camera or camcorder, at least 2 prime lenses, gimbal, tripod, lamp, battery or powerbank, etc. And when it comes to Filmmaking Software, which do you like better: Adobe Premiere orVegas Pro? I'm using mac computer.
Or maybe I get the chance to purchase used the camera and all the equipment from some company or from someone?

I'd really appreciate your help. Below it's the kind of my music and I put direct link to two of the music video. These are some examples of ideas about what I wanted to do. Of course, something similar, because I have very different plans

Michael Jackson - Beat It

Lady Gaga - Poker Face

If you have time, I would be very grateful if you could just sent me the links to the stores or the precise name of all equipment. Sory, I have no knowledge about filmmakers, but I'm going to learn, I want to work as long as I can, I will try again and again until I'm going to get it. I love it - it'll be great fun for me. Or maybe, for starters, see if I can find someone in London who can help me on a movie set. Andwith Filmmaking Software. Well, maybe the price for it will be OK. Thank you very much for your time, andyour tolerance.

I am extremely grateful to you for all the kindness.

Hey @Michalneto ! Your budget is moderate, not big, not small for what you wish to achieve. Of course, skill is the one responsible for what you will create with the gear, not the other way around. I have seen creative individuals create masterpieces on a low budget and I have seen failures created with big budgets.
What I can recommend you is to choose the type of gears that you are most comfortable with.
If I had your budget, I would go for Sony A7 III, which is £1,700 on Amazon. I would get the Feiyu AK2000 Gimbal, which is £200. You can get a Polaroid Tripod which is quite good, which is £29.
You spent only £1929 out of £6000 and the rest you can use for the best lens that you can get.
Here you can see a few examples of videos shot with this camera:

I appreciate your deep commitment. Over the past several years I have filmed using not professional cameras. But right now I'm starting on a new adventure. Don't worry about me, guys. I can handle it. I'm learning during the night, I work all day and I don't sleep that much ;) I'm going to do it.
And the examples of two music videos I've given, is only some comparison, general criteria, but of course, I would do everything differently. There's some things even I don't like it, I'd have done it different. Let's move forward on this. Okay, how about this?

Sony Alpha A7S III Digital Camera Body - £3,799.00

Zhiyun Crane 2S Stabilised Gimbal - £599.00

Aputure LS C120D II LED Light Kit - £762.00

One Light is enough?

Zhiyun Crane 2S Stabilised Gimbal - £599.00

From what I have seen, it looks great! :) You will also need a tripod for steady shots, aside from the Gimbal.
As for the lights, it depends on the project that you are shooting. One light might be enough, but you can also use the natural lightning, you just need to avoid shooting at noon and learn how to make the proper camera settings.

You have a very good gear for this new chapter. I am so curious what type of content will you shoot when you have the opportunity :D What is the first thing that you wish to film?

Wise choice! :) You will get better equipment in time, first you need to get started, get your first happy customers for the price range you will offer and get creative!

For video editing, I used Sony Vegas a while ago and I stopped using it around 2014. For big projects, in my opinion, it's best to use Adobe Premiere with Adobe After Effects. This is what I use. I saw that some use DaVinci Resolve, you might wish to check it out as well. :)

I really appreciate your help. I'm getting close, but I do have some concerns about what are the best Lenses For Music Videos? Please help me to make the right choice. I'm going to need at least 2 prime lenses. Or more? 1 500 £ - 2 000 £ (GBP) - I hope it will be enough. If you have time, I would be very grateful if you could just sent me the links to the stores or the precise name of all lenses. I don't want to make a mistake here. I guess I was wrong, but I would make the following 2 proposal:

No. 1: Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens - £1,349.00

https://www.parkcameras.com/shop/so...2iZB1OXAp0spb8tkm6c3JRohxWmdYzwQaAhP6EALw_wcB

No. 2: Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Zeiss Sonnar T* Lens - £679.00

https://www.parkcameras.com/shop/so...rwBKV5QZ5S_nDIH5gSYQiO1SUdo2sW4gaAp3zEALw_wcB

You have no idea how much you're helping me. I want to thank you guys for how great you've been during this.

You need both, one is for close ups and another one is for wider scenes. 55 is only for portrait...24 is a bit more versatile.

I think I just got an idea. Let's see if I can clarify it a little bit. Let me show you four pictures from 2 music videos.

Akon - Lonely

Enrique Iglesias - Hero

It's all about the distance from the lens to the focal point - focal length. When I have lenses to record these four film takes, 4 footage, it'll be great. I don't need anything else, on the lenses subject. I have a big favor to ask you. Please tell me, what are the best Lenses for taking those four film takes, 4 footage. Would this work with only 2 lenses?

Picture no 1 - What lens did that cameraman use?
Picture no 2 - What lens did that cameraman use?
Picture no 3 - What lens did that cameraman use?
Picture no 4 - What lens did that cameraman use?

You guys are great! Thank You So Much!

It is always nice to have a discussion about the things that we all love :D Picture no 1 seems to be 50 mm.

Not so sure about the lens and I don't want to mess this up for you so I will let someone else who knows better answer the question

The screenshot from Picture No. 4 is definitely taken with a 16 mm wide angle lens. I do not know which of the ones that is sold on the market to help you further.

The challenge is to choose the right lens to start because this industry is known to get to insane amount of budgets to obtain the desired quality. Now with the 4k, 8k and 12k, 360 VR and drone videos, there will be a jump forward that will change all the rules of the game in just a few years. But to start, you need to get the most versatile lens for your videos. You can try portrait lens, wide lens, macro lens etc or even budget lens. The quality will improve a lot with the body you will purchase.

Why not get a zoom lens ? The focal length varies and can be adjusted. Or go for No. 1: Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Lens - £1,349.00 which is more flexible than the others.
[Later edit]: Don't get me wrong, whatever you choose it is very hard to get all in one with a single lens.

Do you have other lens except the ones you wish to purchase? Maybe you can use them in your new step and buy something that you don't have to fill in the gaps.

Don't get discouraged, if you are creative you will always find a way to shoot the videos that you wish! A medium lens can be used in many ways than a wide or a macro one.
