Excellent choice for the beginner and the pro.

Out of the box the camera is very user friendly and shoots a high quality remarkable image with manufacture auto settings and with a little work we set up a http://www.juicedlink.com/ audio solution which is working great. We ordered a sennheiser shotgun mic http://www.sennheiserusa.com/home which i will let you know about as soon as i get it and set it up. The only problem at this point is we only have one and everyone here wants to use it including me.
I am hoping to get a 7D and do a side by side comparison with the 5D. I think both of these cameras are excellent not just for student filmmakers but for serious professionals as well. These cameras will shoot cinematic quality images. For the price and with all the growing number of new gadgets being made for them on the market you just can't really go wrong with one of these.
