DVCPRO AJD410a newbie question...

Hi, I'm interested if someone could explain to me the output system of the mentioned model. It doesn't have an ieee 1394 output option (at least so I was informed) but only a vtr option.... Am I rigth in thinking I need to earn another $2000 for a cheapest vtr (such as AJ-PCD10g) or....?

Yeah, DVCPRO is kind of a pain: it's not very compatible with other DV hardware, in my experience. The only DVCPRO shoot I worked on the movie was never finished because they ran out of money and couldn't get it edited... it has some theoretical advantages, but I'd avoid it myself.

In fact, that looks like the camera we used.
