Hello,
I'm not a mod in this forum, but I've been working with CineForm on HD editing software development and this week it will find me in the Sony booth demoing Aspect HD for Premiere Pro, which supports all the CineFrame modes in Sony's FX1 and Z1 HDV cameras.
I've done some shooting with the Z1 camcorder and frankly, it's astounding. The MPEG image compression and small imagers and lense don't make it a serious competitor to the Varicams and HDcams of the world, but it's far better than I ever expected it to be as far as exposure latitude...and even HDV HiDef is certainly an improvement over standard def DV...
Anyway, if any of you are in New York this week and have the time, please stop by DV Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, and swing by the Sony booth and say "hi".
