i would like to get some moeny for a contest in which the winners get to make a film with the money they win and studentfilmmakersforums.com can enter it in all the constests? does this sound to marketing focused or is it a good idea that will be good publisity for us all?

kim, from what I understand, you're saying that the winner gets money to make the film which is technically produced by studentfilmmakersforums.com (sfm). sfm owns it and would enter it into festivals and then share the experience on the site for others?

i think it's an interesting idea.

Something like that. I also want to particiapate at the level of a producer of sorts than anything else. and, i think it will really help anyones career if we could win a few contests, right? but you know it is all about getting the money or sponsor. Coca Cola would be nice, right? Get 150,000 from them and have a contest to see who gets to write, shoot, direct and star in the short. then enter it in all the major festivals. I think we e-mailed. Them. I have not given up on these kinds of things. It is just that launching this magazine has been like scarey busy. it is like the "war of the worlds" and i am being chased by one of the pods and it's feet keep landing inches from me as I run to keep up with everything...Life is good!
