Critique my light setup

Hey everybody!
I and a team of students recently completed a public service announcement for a contest (results pending.) I was hoping for a critique of my light setup. Lighting is one of the areas of filmmaking that I lack experience in. We didn’t have a huge amount of time to worry about lights during production because we were short on time, so it isn’t the best of quality,

The PSA is called “The Flip Side”

you can see some of my prior work there as well.

Anyone have tips on maintaining good quality lighting in spite of a crunched production schedule?

One thing I noticed:

In some shots there is a complete disregard for the simulated light. For instance if there's a window on one side and a wall with no practical lights on the other side, you can't have light coming from the previously established lightless side even if it looks good in the close-up.

And that is something you can do before the shoot, figuring out how to cheat on the shot
