The Charlotte Horror Fest is looking for student entries in the Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, and Thriller genres.
The competitive event is open to films and videos with production dates after January 2010. Entries must be Charlotte premieres. In order to qualify as a student film, the Producer and/or Director of the submitted project must be a student(s) enrolled in a nationally accredited school or program.
Accepted student entries compete for all of the following awards:
• Best Student Film
• Best Actor
• Best Actress
• Best Cinematography
• Best Music
• Best Editing
• Best Visual Effects
• Best Make-up
• Audience Choice Best Student Film
The mission of the Charlotte Horror Fest is to bring filmmakers and film fans together for a celebration of the Horror and Sci-Fi genres. To create an event where the films can receive a quality projection that is on par with the dedication and perseverance that went into making them and fans can experience the works the way the filmmakers envisioned it.
