Canon is introducing the first consumer HDV 24p camera. It's 1100. The HV10 and HV20. Although they lack many other features... if you want 24p and HDV cheap. Canon is kind of amazing right now
The only downside is that it doesnt have 3 chips or any of the advanced features you can find in prosumer cameras. I think is just a matter of months for the introduction of $2,000 prosumer 24p
